moving?!? Um YES!

Yes, shocker Ryan and I are moving again making the total 3 moves in 1 year and 1 month. Are we crazy? I think we are just looking to finally find our spot in the world. I have felt like everywhere we have tried to live we aren't really on our own. We are piggy-backing on others who are in different situations and times in their lives.
We have been looking for a couple months now and were planning on definitely moving this summer but then we found the perfect apartment and we decided to jump on it. We are in a 2 bedroom apartment at Wymount, BYU Married Housing. We are looking to move one more time into a smaller Wymount Apartment, but those are nearly impossible to get so we needed to get our foot in the door with this apartment. Thus Ryan and I are once again Provo-ites.
I will be completely honest I was so nervous Saturday when we put down the money and made the commitment to Wymount. Sunday it stuck a bit deeper and I started getting excited. Today we got the keys and the first car-full in the door. I love our little apartment. (Actually its not as little as I thought it would be) We are on the third floor and it is so lovely to have windows that look out not up. I am also in love with my tiny bathroom solely because it has a tub and everyone needs a little tub time now and again. The walls are cinder block and it does feel completely like a dorm but its our little dorm.
I will probably find lots of things to hate about it but really I feel like I've come home (for the next little while before we jump states)
I'd post pictures but honestly its all ugly white and so you wouldn't be able to see much. I'll post some once we are a bit more settled.

Are Mormons Christian?

Today in school the epic church topic came up. I had a table start to discuss religion. It went like this. (names have been changed)
Stacy: I go to church every Sunday. (said in a very proud voice)
Harold: Are you Mormon? I am!
Stacy: No, I'm Christian.
Harold: Mormons are Christian too! (I was very impressed with Harold at this point)
Stacy: No they aren't, they are Mormon. I'm Christian.
Harold: No Mormons are Christian too, we believe in Jesus Christ.
Stacy: But I am Christian.

The conversation then led into the classic "raise your hand on the table if you....go to church every Sunday" "raise your hand on the table if you....."
I was very impressed with my little Harold. He usually isn't one to stay true to what he says, he always doubts his answers. He'll raise his hand in class but then as soon as I call on him he'll quickly forget what he was going to say.
It boosts my Spirit when I hear these little conversations happen. It helps me see their potential. I can totally see Harold on his mission declaring boldly the Gospel he knows to be true.

I love my job.

1 year of WonderfullNESS!!!!

Ryan and I have found the most amazing game ever. It is called Disney HedBandz. For those of us who can't afford to go to Disneyland this is a blessing. Once you put the Mickey Ears on you are instantly transported the All-Things-Disney!

Plus you look silly and thus laugh!

This past month was our 1 year anniversary. We celebrated by going to the Aquarium and then to Cheesecake Factory.

Ryan had never been to the Aquarium so he loved every minute of it.

This is Ryan touching the Sting Rays!

My favorite part was the new River Otter exhibit.

They were like children. They run, run, run, play, play, play and then suddenly crash! We could only get a picture once they crashed because then all the children lost interest and moved on to another exhibit. (I can't wait till I have my own child to use as an excuse to butt my way up to the front of the display)

After the fun at the Aquarium we headed off to the Cheesecake Factory at Fashion Place Mall. After waiting an hour we finally got our seat. The food was delicious!
Here is us with our trusty Buzzer.

For our Anniversary I got Ryan tickets to the Jazz vs. Jimmer game Jazz vs. Kings game. ;) He was so excited! We found out our friends Emily and Stu were headed up to the game as well so we carpooled with them.

Ryan won a t-shirt they threw out!

Ryan found Jimmer right away!
Here we are in our seats. Can you tell Ryan is excited? ;)

Jimmer himself!
Happy Anniversary!

Oh how I love this man! A year ago this month we were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. What a blessing!
I can't imagine my life without him. This past year has been so wonderful. I have loved every second of it.
My favorite thing about being married is waking up next to my favorite person every single day. (Morning breath and all) It is so nice to go through life with your best friend by your side.
I love you Ryan!

Bienvenidos 2012

What an amazing year Ryan and I have had. Let's recap the year 2011....
1. We got married!
2. We went to Disneyland on our Honeymoon, can life get any better?
3. We went to New York City.
4. We had a wonderful summer, Cutco, Jackson, Lake Powell, Tuacahan to watch Little Mermaid, and moved to West Jordan.
5. Ryan finished his semesters successfully!
6. I started my 3rd year of teaching.
7. We saw pretty much every movie worth seeing.
8. Had a very successful Christmas.
9. Learned about the best game ever Just Dance 3!
10. Only had one case of sickness, too bad it hit Ryan at 11:00pm Dec. 31.

What a wonderful year we've had.

For New Year's Eve we spent the day with the Woodbury Family playing cards, and other fun games.
After a day full of fun we made the trek to Grandma Davidson's Casa for a night of fast moving feet and pizza. My Aunt brought over her family's WII game system and the game Just Dance 3. We set it up downstairs in the Rec Room on the projector. We had everyone dancing like fools! It was so gosh darn fun!
After wearing ourselves out we moved upstairs for a quiet game of "Would You Rather" except all the childrens decided to come up and play too, whether they understood the rules or not.
Around 11:00pm Ryan was hit by a wave of sickness. He was exhausted, dizzy and achy all over. So we drove home making it just in time for the clock to strike 12. Ryan quickly took a shot of NyQuil, gave me my midnight kiss and then fell into a deep slumber until Monday.
All in all a wonderful night.
 Shot of NyQuil!
Oh I did get my face painted that night by the wonderful Lexie!

Holly Jolly Christmas!

Merry Christmas All!
This year was our first Christmas as a married couple and boy was it exhausting wonderful!
We started our own small version of Christmas at our house on Christmas Eve. Since we'd be traveling all the next day we gave each other our gifts.
Ryan got slippers and socks! He then wore the slippers everywhere for about 2 days!
I got super cute stockings and a wonderful necklace full of keys.
What a happy MARRIED couple!

Then we traveled over to Grandma Davidson's Casa for our Christmas Eve dinner and gingerbread house making.
This was Ryan's first Gingerbread House so he had to read all the instructions!
Marie and Dad argued over what team to put on their house, frosting flew but they compromised and did half and half.
Luckily there was some Cutco around for Ryan to put to use.
Our finished product...oh so cute!
We spent Christmas Eve night at my Dad's Casa, so we could go to church with him in the morning. Church was a wonderful production of song from all the different groups, ward choir, young women/young men, and primary. It was so much fun to watch the primary children. There were a couple grumps, but they sang all the words.
After church the Christmas Frenzy began!
 There was running, leaping.....
and some quick lightsaber action. Marie took off Ryan's head.
Ryan got a tent, hopefully this one will fit us both, and a wicked awesome Cars toothbrush.
Marie made off with some wicked fun games!
My dad calmly got all the Harry Potter Movies!
 Everyone got matching sheets!
 Dad showing off his loot!
Marie's pile, she was most excited about a new phone!
We made off pretty well.
After much fun, we settled downstairs to watch The Office and eat Ryan's French Toast. Then Ryan and I hustled over to the Woodbury Household to do it all over again.
 Sophie was an amazing helper!
She got a super cute rocking chair.
We got Papa Bear a BYU tie which he promptly put on!
Ryan was very excited about his new BYU jacket. It looks exactly the same as his old BYU jacket, but Ryan has declared that whenever he is wearing this jacket he will only answer to the name "Coach!"
I got a lovely BYU shirt. This is my first BYU shirt without any sponsors on it. I think I'm moving up in the world.
Mark was kind enough to send us each a gift from Mexico. Ryan is proudly displaying his "deer-leg-whip." One word....EWWWW!!!

After the gift exchange we ate a lovely linner of turkey and ham. D--licious!! Then we sat around until 2:29 when we promptly called Elder Mark Woodbury down in Mexico!
I always feel so privileged to be related to Mark. He is an amazing missionary and example.
Here is proof that Sophie was talking to Mark.

After a very emotional phone call, Tyler, Melissa, and Sophie headed to the Spence household and Ryan and I headed to the Davidson household for the Annual Davidson Family Christmas Party!
The party really kicked off after the family talent show. Ryan was very excited to participate.
Then we moved into the famous Grandpa Gift Exchange Table! This is my favorite part of the party. We love chanting and counting down as members frantically search for their gift.
Grandpa made off with this wonderful hat for those cold BYU Football games.
Before going home we took some good family photos.

At the end of the day we realized how blessed we really are. We got so many gifts this year. Most of which were things we needed!
We finished the day brushing our teeth with our new favorite toothbrushes from Santa. Mine is Little Mermaid, Ryan's is Cars.

All in All one of the BEST Christmases EVER!

Happy Birthday Savanna!!

This weekend we celebrated Savanna's birthday on December 17th! The party started the day before as my parents and I brought cupcakes and party hats to Savvy's classroom. The kids were really funny. We gave them party hats and Savvy/Mrs. Woodbury had them play a modified version of "Duck. Duck. GOOSE!" called "Horse. Horse. Unicorn!" They, instead of running around the circle, had to crawl on all fours, and because of their party hats on their heads, they looked like unicorns! HA! The students then ate cupcakes with bright colored frosting. They all had pink or red or green or blue lips! And then they were quickly sent home with some extra sugar.

Later on Friday, my parents, my sister and her family, Ron, and Marie all gathered at The BO (Brick Oven) for dinner. And after dinner we went to the Eclipse Christmas concert. Eclipse is an a capella band, not a bunch of werewolves and vampires. The concert was amazing! I have only been twice, and I thought last year was swell, but this year was even better! This Christmas concert has been a Davidson tradition for quite sometime, so I am happy to celebrate my wife's birthday and Christmas with this tradition.

On Savvy's birthday, she let me go play basketball, while she got her hair cut. How nice. We then went to lunch and the temple. It was very refreshing. We then came back home and read and did some normal Saturday chores. We then went out for dinner and went to the movies. We saw Sherlock Holmes. We both thought it was really good!

For one of her gifts, Savvy got a foot rub, scrub, and cream. Well, she could wash her feet all by herself, but that would be crazy when she has such a nice husband... long story short... I was happy to wash my wife's feet. She is the most beautiful woman I know. She makes me smile and laugh. She also helps me focus on the things that matter most. She is the love of my life.

Happy Birthday Sweetheart.
