Long Weekend

Ryan is currently in San Antonio, Texas at a psychology conference smooth talking his way into grad school! Good luck honey!

Thus I am left with a lot of time on my hands and thought...hmmm I wonder if I have anything to blog about. I don't but lets just go with it eh? Thank goodness for iphones making my life easier by allowing me to photograph every thing in my life.

I seriously love this man! What a dork. "take a picture of my antennas" Those are actually breadsticks from Pizza Factory.

My little sister toats got a mission call! She is going to the Philippines in February. Notice my dad's In&Out hat that was his Halloween costume. PS Marie got the call on Halloween.

Don't mind my closed eyes this photo was taken by a student and its kinda awkward to ask for a retake. This was my costume, I was the tooth fairy. I loved my tutu and the kids thought it was a hilarious costume.
Funny story about Elementary Halloween. One of our special Ed. teachers dressed up like Caesar. As a cute little first grader walked by the student looked at Richard, pointed and said to his friend, "Oh that's God" HILARIOUS! I love my job.

On Halloween I had some free time before Marie was going to open her mission call so I went and visited my cute niece and nephew. I watched baby Aaron while Sophie and her folks went around the neighborhood.

Since my husband was leaving me I decided to spoil him. I made this masterpiece. It is meatloaf wrapped in bacon. Needless to say my husband was in heaven.

The day after Ryan left for Texas I locked my keys in my car so I called the dealership who sent over this nice man to break into my car. Good news my car is a beast to break into. It took about 45 minutes.

I miss him!
It snowed all freaking day today! And my shoes got soaked..thank you Relo 26.

What a stud. I'm sorry folks but I love him so you have to suffer through loads of pictures of him.

Life is grand for us. I have a slight addiction of looking up housing at different grad schools Ryan is looking into. I love seeing the different layouts and price ranges.  Its a fun little hobby.

Blah D Blah

Life is going grand. Ryan is working this weekend at Vivant. They call him when they need a few extra people to cover sales competitions. I am still teaching and going to grad. school online.

Teaching this year has been most excellent. After struggling through years 1-3 with teaching I finally feel like I have time to breathe and get ahead even. It's an amazing feeling.

Funny story about a student
I have a student named Brant who is the younger brother of another student I had. Both students are not  golden students, they both struggled with staying on task in class and getting the material. They are both hilarious though. Yesterday while we were cleaning up to go home Brant came up and asked me if I had seen his nose. I was puzzled by the question since it was on his face, not bleeding or otherwise injured. "What?!" I asked him..."have you seen my nose?" he simply asked again then from his pocket he took out a rubber very lifelike nose. I just looked at it in shock and then started to laugh my head off. Brant just looked at me with a smile and put the nose back in his pocket and went back to packing his bag. Oh how I love the randomness of 3rd graders.

I love my job!

life goes on and on and on!

I feel like I've been hit by the Busy-Bus since I started school again. I have been working so hard I've made myself sick. The cough I have has been with me for about 5 weeks now and its just barely getting better. My cough has kept me (and Ryan) up at night....not fun. Anywho thats my excuse for not blogging more.

Here is Ryan with his tiger shirt on ready to MASTER THE GRE! Thats right folks my Husband took the GRE! I'd say he mastered it!

We've been having a lot of fun watching the BYU Football!

I have the absolute best husband ever! He does the dishes like a pro. I love him.

Another big event in our lives was we inherited these lovely leather couches from my dad's condo. He wanted to upgrade to a sleeper sofa. We had been talking about saving up for couches since we moved into Wymount. I love how the room feels now that there is enough room for everyone to sit.

For Priesthood session of General Conference this past weekend I got to hang out with some of my Heywood family. We're crazy and we love it! (Marie, Maddie, and Me)
Marie and Kela also got their faces painted!

Ryan and I spent last weekend in Park City. He was asked to drive big-wig psychology professors around while they were working on a big book. It came with a free stay in a hotel room! We had a lot of fun (even though I was sick) we went up to the Olympic Park and to the outlet mall. It was fun.

FUNNY STORY!
I am telling you this is funny stuff.

Today was our first field trip of the year. We went to the Planetarium to see the exhibits and watch a fun laser movie about the solar system. Well everything went wonderfully until the bus driver drove off without me.
We have a 2/3rd split at my school. A split is exactly what it sounds like half the students are in 2nd grade, half are in 3rd. Well the 3rd graders from the split came with us on the field trip. They had their own parent helpers so it was super easy for the teachers we just had to make sure they knew what do to. They were on my bus so as we were loading at the end of the trip I noticed I was missing one group so I went back into the Planetarium to search for them. Well they weren't there so I decided to go back to the busses and see if they got on while I was looking for them. I walked out the doors to see my students zoom past me. Needless to say I ran after the bus and the driver finally stopped and let me in. There in the back of the bus was the missing group. Apparently they got in earlier and then I missed them when I did my final count. Fun fun fun!

I should be studying...

but instead I'm blogging. I mean it really has been too long since I last blogged, and I have a ton of pictures to share....so I guess I can put studying off one more night.

First on the list is Lake Powell 2012 Davidson Edition!
This honestly is one of my favorite vacations ever! I love being out on the lake for a full week with 40 of my closest family members.
Ryan's famous Tiger Shirt was a huge hit!
This year in honor of the 2012 Summer Olympics we held our own Games in Lake Powell. Here are the 3 top athletes competing in the rock-put. Jace won, of course.
 I married a STUD!!!!
 Don't mind me, I'm only surfing! ;)
What do we do on a houseboat all day? We take pictures, duh!
Ryan had some help driving the houseboat this year.

This is what happens when I jump off the houseboat and leave my camera behind. There were about a thousand random pictures of my sister and my cousin Devan.
"Here take my picture with this Mussle Free notice, because I'm mussle free" That is a direct quote from my darling grandpa!
This is my great-grandma June, she was born in 1916! Yes, she is at Lake Powell with us! Yes, she did go out on the boats with us! Yes, those are the cutest twins you'll ever see.
YES my family is AMAZING!!!

Next on the list is, the Brigham City Temple Open House.
Ryan, Marie, and I met up with my aunt Jill and her family for the Brigham City Temple Open House this past Saturday. It was an amazing temple to go through. There were peach blossoms everywhere you looked. It was also an experience to go through a temple with children. They are so amazing, and hilarious.
Here are the girl cousins. (Kela, Sarah, Rachelle, Marie, Kate and Savanna)
Awwww cute, the Woodburys! PS as you can see it was SUPER crowded.
This is Marie and Kela trying to be as cute a wife as I am.
The whole gang! (The Woodburys, Davidson, and the Hansens)
This is Ryan on the drive to Ogden. He was so happy to be in the middle of such cute cousins, who never got on each other's nerves. ;)

This is the only way to get off a Houseboat!

And this is the only way to drive home in a motorhome!

Well thats our little update. I'll hit the books now.

UP-date!

(please sing that post title...I did)

There aren't many photos to share with this post but I thought it's time for a quick update before we move on to bigger and busier things this summer.

1. My husband learned how to be a boating man. He learned to back up the boat, drive it, drive with someone behind the boat (me skiing...which was a fun experience), and park it. I am amazed!

 Look at this stud!

I like to ski. When my husband drives me for the first time it becomes especially fun. I think Ryan got down to 14mph! What a fun memory.

2. Another fun thing that has happened recently was lots of time to hang out with cousins. Here is my cousin Kade holding a very sad kitty. Kade spent the whole afternoon stalking this poor kitten all over the yard. When he would finally catch it and hold it his face would turn bright red from the effort to hold the small beast. You can't really see the cat's face over in the corner of the frame, it had decided to try to play dead.

3. Look at my husband all tuckered out after early church. I love the fact that he was dead asleep in this position not more then 5 minutes from getting home from church.
 4. I've been getting my craft on this last month. My dear Father-in-law was excited to model my lovely headband.
Another fun craft I made for my classroom. I'm excited for it! It's already August, I can't believe my new little tykes will be walking into my classroom in about 25 days! AHHH!

This summer is quickly coming to an end. Our ward at Wymount is changing weekly, with people moving in and families moving out. It makes me excited about moving next summer, yet sometimes I get sad about it. Everyone loves to ask us where we are going for Grad School, the answer is we don't know yet. Ryan will be applying this fall and by January, February we'll know where we'll be headed.
The top choices right now are: Notre Dame, Clarks University (Mass.), Tufts University (Mass.) and two schools in Canada who's names escape me.

Ryan's last day at Vivant is next Saturday and then we are off to Lake Powell for the big Davidson Vacation! We are excited to get one more wonderful vacation in this summer.
Ryan is amazing eh? I love him!

U. S. of A!!!

I had just gotten back from Jackson Hole on Sunday and then we were packing up our apartment and trying to catch up from all our vacation days; so our Fourth of July was very laid back.

Ryan worked from 12-8pm (getting paid time and a half!) so I stayed home and packed and studied for my school work. After work we buzzed up to South Jordan to celebrate with the Woodbury family. Clayne is kinda a firework-fanatic (I think Ryan is too) so we had plenty of ammunition.
We all went to Tyler and Melissa's house to light the night sky!
The boys with their toys! ( please note Ryan's patriotic shirt)
Sophie had lots of fun playing around.
 This was Ryan's Firework-Face!
What a good uncle protecting Sophie's ears during the show.

DWorld part dos!

This will be a picture OVERLOAD!!! I thought about splitting it up into 3 posts but then decided against it. I have other things that need to be blogged and I kinda wanna just get DisneyWorld blogs over with.  Here we go....
We were there over the famous tropical storm Debbie.

We got very good and whipping on our rain slickers at a moments notice.
There was an amazing aquarium in Epcot that had dolphins, turtles, manatees, and tons of other fish.

Ryan was so excited to see Captain Eo! It was so amazing. Last time I watched it I took of my 3D glasses for most of the movie(it was pretty scary for a 9 year old). I was proud that I kept them on the whole time.
Playing around in the countries at Epcot.

Some French street performers.

We watched some fire explosions at Hollywood Studios.
5 points to whoever can name the movie this prop is from.

Ryan had a lot of fun playing around with this Tower of Terror worker.
You can't see it but the Hollywood Studio hat is behind us.
This is the golf course Ryan and Clayne played the last day of the trip. It was pouring on them.

Goofy liked me best!
 We saw Fiesta Donald!
Funny story, Ryan and I love Duffy the Disney Bear. On our honeymoon we were walking past the Duffy stand and no one was there and everyone looked super sad so we went over and a Duffy hug and a Duffy sticker. We then went on our merry way to the Screamin' California Roller Coaster on the way we saw Jessie and the Green Army man from Toy Story. The Army man was hilarious. In a very military voice he said "I see that you just got married." (we had 'just married' pins) and "I see that you just hugged Duffy" We died laughing and now its a cute inside joke between us.

For lunch one day we went to this nifty fifty's diner.
This was the most amazing intense roller coaster I have ever been on. It was Aerosmith themed with their music blasting in your ears while you went on a crazy fast ride through pitch black "streets" SO FUN!
This was the typical Disney look on this trip...soaked! I did manage to hang out with my good friend the Pink Power Ranger.

I am so thankful to my in-laws who made this whole trip possible. It was so fun for me to get to know them better. Ryan and I have been married for about 18 months now and I know the Woodbury's pretty well but going to a new place was so much fun with them. They are truly amazing people and I can't wait for the next time we get to play with them.
