Call Me Maybe
I'm sure all of you are wondering "what up with that title" the truth is it is simply the song I am listening to right now, at this exact moment. Marie will appreciate that.
I've been putting off blogging since there is nothing really going on with my life but then I realize that actually a lot has happened. Here's an update. I wish I had pictures to share but I left my purse at school, wallet, camera, EVERYTHING! :( o-well.
Updates in no particular order.
1. My dad is getting married. He proposed to Darla shortly after putting Cleo down. They are getting married June 2nd. Go them!
2. Ryan and I bought a new car. Since I am driving 80 miles a day we decided that I needed a car that gets better then the Liberty's 20 mpg. It was a sad day for me to give up my Liberty but it's ok the new car is a Nissan Versa and it gets about 40 mpg!
2.5 I am moving classrooms this year. 3rd grade is moving out into the Relo's (relocatable classrooms). It will be a HUGE adjustment but you gotta do what ya gotta do.
3. I'm going to grad school! I got into an online school Western Governor's University and in about 2 years I will graduate with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
4. Ryan got a job working at Vivant. He works 3-11:30pm. That means I have a lot of time on my hands while I wait for him to get home. Usually he gets home and I'm dead asleep then I wake up early to head to school while he is still sleeping. On weekends I never let him go.
5. Melanie and Clayne (Ryan's parentals) took us to St. George this last weekend to see Brian Regan at Tuacahn. It was so fun to get away for a quick weekend with them and Brian was hilarious!
6. I survived another Mother's Day. This one was Tough with a capital T!
Last week a sister in our ward died due to complications with childbirth. It was her 3rd baby and she left behind 3 kids under 4 years old. It made us realize how precious life can be. It didn't help me at all that in Relief Society we talked about their family and their kids losing a mother. I was a mess all day, barely holding it together. Several times I had to remove myself from everyone and sit alone for a bit to get a handle on my emotions. Once I got home from all the festivities I just bawled in Ryan's arms. I love my husband, he is always there for me, and doesn't mind my snot-nose.
I am so blessed with all the women in my life who are willing to lead me by example. I am so thankful for their understanding and acceptance of me.
7. There are only 12 more days of school left! but who's counting....oh right EVERYONE!!!

Heavy Heart
This is a sad post. Last week my dad informed Marie and I that our puppy dog Cleo was in a bad way. She is a very old puppy dog and has been loosing mobility in her hind legs for a couple years now. Dad called and told us that he had a feeling that Cleo's time with us was numbered in days.
On Thursday Dad sent me a text telling me that Cleo's hind leg joint snapped that morning and he had made an appointment with the vet to put her down on Friday. It was such horrible news.Friday was a day off for me, due to Parent-Teacher-Conferences so I was able to be there with the family without any other worries.
Friday was a very emotional day for us. We took Cleo into the Vet around 10:30am. We had all said our good-byes at the house with a family prayer. The vet was very reassuring and understanding of all the tears we shed in his office. The actual procedure was very peaceful for Cleo. She just put her head down and closed her eyes. Several more tears were shed for our wonderful Puppy.
We then made the trek up to Grandma Davidson's to add Cleo's body to the other wonderful Davidson Dogs like Lady, Samson, and Boogie. Grandma joined us at the grave and we all got to share stories of Cleo's time with our family.

Marie was given a dog as her birthday gift. I remember my Mom coming and telling me the news, we went to Old Navy and got some cute dog items (collar, water dish) to surprise her with. Marie was sick in her bed that birthday and so we gathered around on her bed to give the gifts. As she opened my gift (a pink dog collar) she looked rather puzzled and didn't catch on until the dog dish. She later told us she thought the collar was a belt that was much too small.
Marie and my dad went on the search for the perfect puppy for our family. They came back with a beautiful girl named Cleo.
Cleo was so patient with everyone. She would sit still and let us dress her up with ribbon and bows. Cleo was not a people puppy. Whenever we'd have big groups of family over she would often hide in my parents bedroom. Kela, our cousin, loved Cleo from the minute she met her. I remember once Kela sitting and bouncing on Cleo's back and Cleo just laid down and let Kela have her fun. Once Kela was done, Cleo was outta there!
Another fun memory of CleoDog was Cleo's ability to hide from things she didn't like. She could always be found in a closet, either Marie's or Dad's, during a thunderstorm, fireworks or on Saturday Morning when Mom wanted to take her out for a run. :)
Cleo has been with our family for about 9 years. She was with us through some very hard times and well as some wonderful adventures. It is a very sad thing for us to loose her but we know she is happy where she is now. Cleo is with Mom now, running.

Snowboarding!
Several months ago my dad purchased a condo located in Beaver, UT. Beaver?!?! Everyone always asks "why Beaver?" Well it turns out the condo is located in the dead center of a ski resort. Above our condo is the bunny hill side and down from our condo is the Black Diamonds. (The real tough stuff).
For Christmas my dad gave Ryan and Me snowboard lessons and rentals. So for President's Day we all ran down to Beaver and signed up. We spent the morning with two wonderful teachers Kevin, and Brett who showed us all the ins and outs of snowboarding. We made it down the mountain several times without falling. Sunday I was so sore I could barely move but I can now snowboard!
This is Kela my cousin. This is the outfit she deemed fit to ski in! HA! I love her.
It was a wonderful weekend to have with my husband and my dad. We watched some James Bond and played a couple games. I have come to love Beaver! The mountains are so beautiful. I wish I could've taken more pictures but I left my camera's SD card home.

moving?!? Um YES!
Yes, shocker Ryan and I are moving again making the total 3 moves in 1 year and 1 month. Are we crazy? I think we are just looking to finally find our spot in the world. I have felt like everywhere we have tried to live we aren't really on our own. We are piggy-backing on others who are in different situations and times in their lives.
We have been looking for a couple months now and were planning on definitely moving this summer but then we found the perfect apartment and we decided to jump on it. We are in a 2 bedroom apartment at Wymount, BYU Married Housing. We are looking to move one more time into a smaller Wymount Apartment, but those are nearly impossible to get so we needed to get our foot in the door with this apartment. Thus Ryan and I are once again Provo-ites.
I will be completely honest I was so nervous Saturday when we put down the money and made the commitment to Wymount. Sunday it stuck a bit deeper and I started getting excited. Today we got the keys and the first car-full in the door. I love our little apartment. (Actually its not as little as I thought it would be) We are on the third floor and it is so lovely to have windows that look out not up. I am also in love with my tiny bathroom solely because it has a tub and everyone needs a little tub time now and again. The walls are cinder block and it does feel completely like a dorm but its our little dorm.
I will probably find lots of things to hate about it but really I feel like I've come home (for the next little while before we jump states)
I'd post pictures but honestly its all ugly white and so you wouldn't be able to see much. I'll post some once we are a bit more settled.
